Family support program

Shiva & Shakti's Fitness-Focused Child Care

Movement, mutual aid, and support for healthy families

A Tree Of Perception community event where volunteers help provide child care support while parents participate in a group fitness class.

Mission

Helping parents move while children are cared for nearby

This event supports parents, children, and the community by creating a safe-feeling, organized space for fitness, connection, and shared responsibility. Parents get time to participate in group movement, children get supervised activities close by, and volunteers help make wellness more accessible for families.

Events may happen at local parks, community centers, gyms, churches, schools, or other approved building spaces where the layout and volunteer support can be planned responsibly.

How it works

A simple support flow for families

The structure is intentionally clear so parents, children, volunteers, and fitness instructors all know what to expect.

  1. 01

    Parents arrive and check in

Families are welcomed, the schedule is reviewed, and organizers confirm parent contact details.

  2. 02

Children are signed into the child care area

The child care space is nearby, organized, and connected to the parent check-in process.

  3. 03

    Volunteers supervise simple activities

Children can play, read, enjoy games, or join age-appropriate movement-based activities.

  4. 04

    Parents attend fitness class nearby

Parents participate in a group class while remaining close enough for event communication.

  5. 05

    Families reconnect afterward

The event closes with pickup, community time, announcements, and room for families to connect.
